- Nallakaram – 1/4 kg
- Kandipodi – 1/4 kg
- Karvepaku podi – 1/4 kg
- Palli podi – 1/4 kg
- Pudina podi – 1/4 kg
This combo covers the podi shelf most Telugu kitchens keep stocked, five powders that each go with rice or breakfast in a different way. Nallakaram, sometimes sold as Nalla Karam or Vellulli Karam Podi, is the garlic-forward one, dark and pungent, meant to be mixed straight into rice with a spoon of ghee. Kandipodi, also called Kandhi Podi or Pappu Podi, is built around toor dal and has a milder, nuttier base than the garlic-heavy powders, closer to a lentil chutney than a spice mix.
The other three lean more aromatic. Karvepaku Podi, known outside Andhra as curry leaf powder or Karivepaku Karam, carries the distinct flavour of curry leaves rather than chillies alone. Palli Podi, the peanut version, sometimes listed as Peanut Chutney Powder or Palli Karam, is a common pick for people who find garlic and curry-leaf podis too strong. Pudina Podi rounds it out with mint, a sharper, cooling contrast to the rest of the combo, often called Pudina Chutney Powder or Pudina Karam elsewhere.
All five are the kind of thing that sits in a steel container for weeks and gets pulled out at breakfast or dinner, not something you build a whole meal around. Good with plain rice and ghee, alongside idli or dosa, or mixed into curd rice when you want a quick change of flavour without cooking anything fresh. GSR Foods ships this combo pan-India, 250g of each podi packed separately.
